Irvin's EJ8 Civic Coupe.

Perhaps not the best build-yet, nor the one with baller parts-yet. But one thing is for sure, his car looks good.
Irvin, just like me. Goes to school, and works at the same time. We don't have the best jobs, but they get us through, and the left over money for candy goes straight to the car. Slowly but surely we are getting our cars to where we want, or at least that's what Irvin has been doing recently.
I remember back in February, at Wekfest, Irvin saw the 949 racing wheels on a CRX, and from there on he knew he wanted those wheels. I had mentioned the wheels to him before, but at the time he had something else in mind.
He bought the wheels a week after I bought my set, but he got them in three days later, while I got my set a month later haha. Something that gave me a twist, and made me feel not so sure about his decision, was the color of the wheels. I was sure and even pictured his car with silver wheels, but in the last minute he opted to get them in black. I couldn't even picture his car with black 949's. Now I understand why I couldn't picture his coupe on black 949s, it was too good for my level of imagination.
There are some pictures of Irvin's car when he first got it, bone stock, a virgin. But now with just couple things he added, the car completely changed.
I'll be honest, before the wheels and mirros, the car looked like the typical "2007 wanna be JDM, racer mad powa I got VTEC YO!" status. It was just another coupe dropped on steelies with hubcaps.
However, seeing his car now puts a smile in my face. In contrast with the hype boys jumping on the wagon, Irvin is not cutting corners with the car he only has authentic parts, no fake shit whatsoever.

The day of the shot, started around 6, I met Irvin at his place, picked up Johnny-second photographer. And headed to the Golden Gate/Marin headlands area. We were in traffic for a bit, but Irvin made his way through, taking a short cut-thanks to Johnny. Catching the last bits of sunset at Mcnears Beach was nice, that location is definitely made most of the shots for the car. It was my first time shooting there, and that made the shooting a little difficult. I had a hard time getting, finding the right angles for the car. Once it got dark we headed to a different spot-a classy for Irvin's car, the one right next to the Golden Gate Bridge. Which reminds me, last time we went there to take pictures-Irvin saw a person jump off the bridge.
Anyways, once there we notice that the sheriff was kicking people out of our spot, I guess the cop was feeling like being a dick, because people were just hanging around there and taking pics of the bridge. Props to the sheriff for killing the time to those people and for us.
Other than that, I had a good time, pretty sure we all did. Except when I decided to try using Johnny's camera for the extra flash. I'm pretty sure I blind the shit of Irvin and Johnny since I always pointed the flash to their faces, but it wasn't my fault, they moved to where I was pointing.

I took a lot of pictures, yet only a few are going to be here, since in perhaps 80% of the pictures Johnny there swagging it down with his camera, and doing unique poses. I just hope I'm not part of his pictures lol.

Feel free to insert a quote like "You Fuck with me, you fuck with the best " Scarface.
or "Walking hard, and breaking hearts" Me.
Irvin also reminds me of scarface, except that Irvin doesn't have the scare, and swears more in less time. Other than that, they resemble each other. I'll let you do the judging.

Johnny and his "One eye Yuca photography"

Ok we were in that spot for like 45 minutes, and Irvin was in the same position the whole time, he didn't move at all.
I was actually afraid when I took this picture,  but I had to take the risk.
Baller "stance" lol

You guys didn't believe me when I said he didn't move for 45 minutes? Here he is like a statue. At some point a pigeon landed on his shoulder and did the chicken walk and Irvin still didn't move, the pigeon should be happy it survived to tell the story.
 Johnny getting job done.
Little distortion thanks the fish eye
Weird looking picture and color combo thanks to my poor photoshop skills.
Johnny doing his job in the background.

Johnny getting nasty with the camera and Irvin's car.

Panoramic crop of the previous picture.

CMI-part III

Part three, strictly pictures.

Clean RSX
I think this guy loves his dog so much he put it on the hood, and maybe intimidate the competition? He was at wekfest as well.
Ok, now. This guy was really full of shit. When I take pictures of an event I take pics of everything, because everyone who is present at the event, not matter if racing or showing needs coverage. But this guy came up to me and Johnny asking if were legit sources, and that if the picture was going to get published at a magazine or website. I told him that it was going to my personal blog, but this guy told me that if it wasn't for high traffic or popular website-I shouldn't be taking pictures of it. At that point I stopped, Johnny and I looked at each other and walk away.
Listen slut bag, if you ever read this, which I hope you do. With the previous statement about covering everyone at an event, first : your ride is not even fast, or nice, your fake sponsors won't make you run 16s, because is more likely you will be stock forever in the high 17s with slicks. Second: you are a truly ricer, who have heard of drag racing. And I quote: "It's not how you stand by your car, it's how you race your car." The Fast and the Furious. And you still don't know how let go of that clutch. Go buy a Geo Metro please.

This DC2 was R*Crew certified. Which reminds me, I have a Rcrew surprise for my friends.
Another "on purpose" overexposed picture to blind the shit out your eyes and peeps around you trying to see why you look so into the screen of your computer and giggle at the characters in this public/electronic journal.

Johnny moving fast with the camera, and holding down his "swag" while talking to me about the S2k, and showing/pointing Edson in the right direction where some hot import model was with his shadow. Johnny is the shit when it comes to multi-tasking.
Another clean Drag EM1
Clean Supra with what I believe ganador mirros. His front bumper belonged to a different body kit, while side skirts and and rear bumper belonged to a different, good looking car overall.

Drag race ready EG warming up...and again trying to make the pictures as overexposed as possible.
Under exposed picture of the cleanest interior possible on an EG.
Real RHD 4 door Integra Type R. Straight SEX in 4 wheels and doors.
So much attention to detail, and personal touch in this that I spent 20 minutes staring at it.

Same with Jeremy's car, inspirational.
Oh yeah, this is the dude that was cruising around and revving his engine left and right. He drove next to an import hot Nos model, and revved his engine, the passenger dude pointed at Mark's glasses, and revved his engine. Some chihuaha that had heat stroke barked, the dude revved his engine lol
This dude is from Modesto, home of Scammers. Yeah I know not everyone is the same, but come on now Modesto, lol. I think his car got towed at Eibach this year. Why? Because Ricer!
Do you guys see Edson and his dream car s2k of the day? the car is actually white, it isn't overexposed, but the rest of the picture is.
Clean rex with BBR wheels. Thank you sir (owner of the car)
Johnny wondering if it was a real CTR, we would never know.
Dark pic of serious race car.
A CTR replica car, clean car.
Dark pic of green coupe
Shaved engine bay.
Interesting coupe.
Cleanest Rx7 at the show, and Johnny about to cry 'cause it wasn't his.

Johnny telling Edson to make his butt stick a bit more so he could have the picture of the RX7 with Edson as a model, sticking his ass out. They were into it.
Edson checking his hair in the paint of this evo.
Can't get more serious than Edson's pose, and Johnny snapping pictures, while Mark rubbed his head off, because he didn't understand the concept of cars racing in the a straight line to see which car was the fastest on 400 meters.
Here Mark didn't understand the concept that in Japan, cars are Right Hand Drive.

Another serious shot, of Edson and Johnny. The way these two roll is "game." Mark was M.I.A at this point.
he was doing 15mph don't get excited
EG with 949s in the rear.

Now this guy smashed vtec and was doing like 60mph in less than 200 meters, it was scary 'cause I thought he was gonna run over all the "racing cats" that were on pits.

That's all for today, stay tuned for some things that I've been working on. No it doesn't involve my car, but someone really close to me, and the group of youngsters who make this blog happen. For those of you who haven't seem his car, you guys are not ready. I wasn't when I saw it.
